Four Puppies, One Chance
Help Tilda complete her journey, and get Peggy, Pipper and Sandy safely to their new homes.
Seven little pups were dumped near the shelter. Two disappeared within days, taken by people who said they needed a yard dog. Five little girls remained. No mother, no one looking for them. They were still tiny, and their skin was already raw.
Mimi fed them and treated the infection. For a short while they improved.
Then parvo hit.
She found the only vet who still had antibody serum and paid for every pup, because without it they had almost no chance. One of them tragically died.
Peggy, Pipper, Sandy and Tilda held on.
Two were so ill she had to leave them in isolation, then bring them home and stay with them until they could stand. They lived, but they were painfully thin, and everything else had to wait.
Just as she was getting them strong enough to vaccinate, a storm came through.
Tilda disappeared.
When she came back, her leg was broken. Mimi still does not know what happened in those missing days. She only knows the X-ray, and that the vet was about to leave on holiday.
Waiting would have meant another clinic and the full cost paid before anyone would operate. So she asked her own vet to put a pin in the bone and trust her for the money.
The break was not complicated. The surgery held.
Tilda is with her now, learning how to walk on it.
Tilda has now been cleared to travel with her sisters.
Peggy, Pipper and Sandy are vaccinated and safe at the shelter. Two have homes waiting. Two have the offer of foster.
Before they can leave, all four still need passports, microchips, rabies vaccinations, tests and certificates.
The people taking them are paying for their journey. Nothing comes back as an adoption fee.
What this chance actually costs:
- The serum that kept four of them alive: €100
- The clinic days for the two who nearly did not make it: €100
- The pin that is letting Tilda walk again: €230
- Passports, microchips, rabies vaccination and tests so all four can leave: €360
€790 / $888 / £672
One pup from this litter is already sadly gone.
Tilda, Peggy, Pipper and Sandy are still here because Mimi refused to give up on them.
The surgery has been done. The homes and foster places are waiting. The journey is paid.
Now we just need to clear the outstanding veterinary and travel-preparation costs so these four little girls can take the next step.
Anything you can give goes directly towards these bills.

Thank you for helping give these four little girls the chance they have fought so hard to reach ❤️
